One of the highest grossing domestic films of 2014 in Thailand revolves around a young and bold teacher, Ann, who volunteers to transfer to a remote school after a trifling argument with her principal. Born and raised in the city, she finds life in the small floating school on the river near a dam is uneasy. In such a remote and lonely place with no mobile phone signals, she gradually grows as a responsible teacher to her few students. One year later, a former wrestling star, Song, is appointed to the same remote school to replace Ann. Then he finds the diary she kept. Romance over a twisted timeline or a love triangle is nothing new to cinema, but a conventional narrative technique that nonetheless comforts and entertains the audience. The wit and humor mixed with this story showcase the strength of commercial Thai cinema.
