In a Sri Lankan jungle, a young monk sets out on a journey to find the spiritual truth about life and death. A resident who wants to be a doctor tests his limits and tries to kill himself but fails. A human organ trafficker expands his illegal business in the heat of the day in Colombo. Ignorant poor people who come to sell their organs become victims, amid indifference. A surgeon participating in the trafficking uses violence toward women at night. His driver does not tell anyone about what he witnesses. At the crossroads of life and death, Sri Lanka’s nights continue to be sleepless. The film unfurls the stories of different protagonists’ lives, deaths and violence. After exposing itself to the human body using violence and the ones suffering from it, the camera reaches the scene where the doctor burns himself to death in the jungle, thus breaking the chain of cinematographic meaning.
