Program Note
Linh, an aspiring art college student, moves to Dalat, a beautiful small town in Southern Vietnam. However, the beautiful house on the hill is haunted by a ghost that scares people to run away. Linh unexpectedly encounters a ghost named Phong, but she’s rather trying to understand each other tan fleeing. Phong died accidentally when he was 17 years old, so his appearance is still a young man but he is 61 years old. He forgot his memories when he used to be alive, but still could not transcend to the afterlife. As Linh is more and more interested in Phong, she decided to help Phong to find out the mysterious secrets of his death. As Linh knows the truth about Phong more and more, she faces dilemma that Phong eventually has to leave this world as his resentment is redeemed. Director Nguyen Phan Quang Binh has been depicting beautiful locations in lyrical dramas since his debut with Floating Lives invited to New Currents section at Busan International Film Festival in 2010. NGUYEN PHAN Quang Binh
NGUYEN PHAN Quang Binh studied at the Hanoi Fine Arts College before turning to filmmaking. He is also a producer of both cinema and television, producing many of Vietnam’s most popular shows. His filmography includes Song of the Stork (2002), Love Market in the Clowns (2002) for National Geographic, Floating Lives (2010), and so on.
