Program Note

A gang of unique outcasts live in a downtown L.A. fleapit, known as the Million Dollar Hotel. Innocent Tom Tom serves them, and he falls for the street angel Eloise. One day, Izzy, the one of its residents dies and he is revealed to be the son of a billionaire. Every inhabitant of the hotel falls under suspicion in the enquiry led by FBI hardliner.

Wim Wenders(1945) began his illustrious career while still a student at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film, München.
