Program Note

Born in Jeju, Kim Ye-won directed the shorts Casually, for the Worse (2020) and Tailing a Smoke (2023). Casually, for the Worse was screened at the Jeonju International Film Festival, Seoul International PRIDE Film Festival, and Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival, and it won Best Narrative Short at the Hawaii International Film Festival.
