Dr. Kaff co-develops Taekwon V with Dr. Kim, but he is made fun of for his bad looks. This rage from his inferior looks makes him build a Red Empire only to take revenge on other people. After building it, he disguises himself as Malcolm and causes a world war to break out. He always fails due to Taekwon V, so he kidnaps Dr. Yoon, Younghee′s father, but Mary helps him escape. We cannot deny that the legendary animation of Korea, Robot Taekwon V had the influence of Japanese giant robot animations. Robot Taekwon Vis one of the most cherished memories of Koreans who spent their childhood during the 1970′s. Not only the children but also the adults were attracted with this great story of a giant Korean robot performing Taekwondo, the Korean traditional martial art, in the 1970′s when Japanimation ruled the animation market. The theme song by Choi Ho-suk is still a favorite song of Koreans. The film, which will be presented at the 10th PIFF, is the restored version by the Korean Film Council.
