A brilliant and tragic chronicle of a great Russian actor who became a star of the French cinema. Taken back to the life of European Bohemia of the 20-30′s, this story is based on his remarkable
career through actual photos, letters, and documents kept by Ivan Mosjoukine until his death. This is the first time these materials are shown on film.

Galina Dolmatovskaya
Galina Dolmatovskaya graduated from Moscow State University (Department of Journalish) with ph.D. and for almost a decade was a correspondent of literaturnaja Gazeta. Then she started at the Institute of Cinema Arts. and now she is working there as the head of Galina Dolmatovskaya Film Department.
Galina Dolmatovskaya is the author of the following books : Rob steiger(1976), Who In the Soviet Cinema(1979), France Tells about heself(1980), Notes to the Past(193), Pages of the Moon Calendar(1985), Her documentaries include Come to Trekhprudny Lane(1992), The Matchmaker(1996), Flying Far Away(1995), Cinema Address-Krasnogorsk(1996), This film is her most recent work.
