Program Note
Set in Dinard, this film takes place during summer vacation. While Gaspard is waiting Léna, he meets Margot, an anthropology student who works as a restaurant waitress to earn money on the side. Margot takes him to a dance club where he meets Solène. Léna finally arrives at Dinard. <A Summer′s tale> is the third part of Eric Romer′s "Tales of the Four Seasons."

Eric ROHMER
Born in 1920. In 1948, he was a teacher of literature at the Lycée in Nancy. When he joined Cahiers staff in 1951, he had already spent three years as a film critic.
