[Dorm] is a well-structured horror and coming of age film that ultimay talks about the value of friendship and love. 12-year-old Chatree is transferred to a new boarding school. Thinking ill of his father, Chatree makes friends with Vichien and happens to know he`s a ghost. Eager to end Vichien`s tragic circumstance, he decides on a gamble. Although technically a horror film, there is no real evil in the story, just love and friendship ? which makes it unique. [Dorm] focuses on bright and positive values, such as the sincerity of the teacher`s care for his pupil, the warmth of the father who dearly loves his son, and Chatree`s willingness to sacrifice himself for his friend, within the parameters of the horror genre. This paradoxical mixture makes the value of friendship and love more significant. The changes Chatree experiences and the fear and realization of the meaning of love are the very process by which he becomes an adult. From this point, [Dorm] is a very unique horror film.
