Siblings Katya and Jaroslaw are dealing with the death of their mother: the lonely Katya embarks on a relationship with an older man, and the freshly unemployed Jaroslaw struggles with the household expenses. Growing up in their native Ukraine, the two were close, but the move to a new country and the recent death are putting a strain on their once-strong bond. Jaroslaw is drawing away from Katya as he tries to forge a new future with a single mother, and Katya`s powerful imagination is making it difficult to see where history and fantasy diverge.
