Though Hollywood has been the axis of cinema history, passion and love for it were developed everywhere not only in the Dream Factory and the first world film industry. The documentary follows lives of four projectionists living in extremely different worlds: South India, Burkina Faso, mid-west US, and North Korea. These are seemingly the most marginal locations of global film industry and often forgotten. Nevertheless, they have this great affection and pride of what they are working for, feeling in their hearts the essence of film arts. The parallel editing of two single women, Han Yong-sil in Pyungyang and Penny in Wyoming, shows how similar their dreams and its motivations are, even though they are living in such a politically polarized society. For these two women, cinema is not only an illusion projected on white screen rather a medium reflecting their lives. The documentary is dedicated to everyone who has been in love with cinema.
