Jaakko, blind and disabled, is involved in a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend. When she needs him by her side, he takes a step out of his safe haven and crosses into a mysterious and dangerous world. Director Teemu Nikki casts an actor suffering from MS to create an extraordinary cinematic experience. The audience follows Jaakko as his blurry vision expands from his small apartment to the streets, to the train station, where the sensory overload is mind-boggling. Once on the train, every encounter becomes a mixture of anxiety and anticipation, "to you, to you, to you...". The protagonists dive into the unknown is as impressive as the bold use of point-of-view shots and the dreamlike approach to Jaakkos adventure. The film displays innovative characteristics fitting for the new section Orizzonti Extra at the 2021 Venice Film Festival. (Karen PARK)
