Alice is a forensic scientist who invented a revolutionary technique in the field of restoring damaged corpses. She visits South Korea to attend a conference and receives a request from the Korean police to perform an autopsy on a corpse found in a river. Jinho, the detective in charge, learns from the autopsy result that the body is related to an organ trafficking syndicate. French director Denis Dercourt adapted Peter May′s novel The Killing Room, changing the setting from China to Korea, where this romance-thriller was shot. Olga Kurylenko from Quantum of Solace (2008) and Terrence Malick′s To the Wonder (2012) plays a former surgeon who suffers from nightmares of the past, and Yoo Yeon-seok who delivered strong performances in Steel Rain 2: Summit (2020) and New Year Blues (2021) plays the detective.
