In 1990, Agatha, a young woman living in an island village in Italy, gives birth to a stillborn baby. Agatha cannot accept that her child will be condemned to exist in forever, and thus, sets out alone in search of a mysterious sanctuary in the northern mountains, where the dead baby′s soul is said to be waiting. Lynx, who looks like a boy, steps in on Agatha′s journey as a guide, while Agatha is carrying a small wooden coffin that holds the dead baby. The two, who are doubtful and wary at first, develop into a relationship that transcends the life-and-death crisis together. The story of a woman walking on an unknown path is both Christian and shamanistic. The film realistically reproduces the scenery of northern Italian villages more than a hundred years ago. This film is Laura Samani′s feature debut, and was introduced at the Critics′ Week at the Cannes Film Festival 2021. (LEE Juhyun)
