Ahmed, a French-Algerian teen, has grown up in the suburbs of Paris. One day, he sees Farah, a Tunisian girl who just transferred to his school, and is immediately smitten. In a class where the two study together, he discovers a collection of sensual Arabic poetry, which makes him question his identity and sexual desire. He now struggles with the shyness and moral prejudice that have defined his life in order to get close to the young woman who is much more freewheeling and passionate in life. Leyla Bouzid garnered numerous awards with her first feature, As I Open My Eyes (2015).
