A man and a woman sit staring at a silent screen in a nearly empty theater. When the film ends, the two walk out silently and split without saying a word. This moment is the end of their romantic relationship. The woman, who is wandering around the man′s house late at night, happens upon a location shooting where a movie is being filmed and steps into the film. Time and space between the film and reality overlap and blend like a Mobius strip. The Day after Yesterday is not about how things unfold, but rather, about the fact that these things have already happened. A low narration, a wandering walk with lingering regret and hesitation, silence and gaze, a carefully coordinated yellow and green light and a shadow beside it, and fire, water, and snow put the reality and the film into one dimension, creating dreamy time and space of a strange night.
