Junhee (Lee Hyeyoung) is a well-known novelist, but she has lost her will to write anymore. She feels as if writing a novel is a process of inflating small things. The Novelist’s Film follows Junhee′s strange and mysterious journey as she encounters old acquaintances one after another in a strange place. She bumps into a junior with whom she has rarely kept in touch, a director couple with whom she has not communicated for some time, a senior poet with whom she once had a close relationship, and also an actor, Gilsoo (Kim Minhee), who is an utter stranger to Junhee. Expressing her active affinity for Gilsoo, Junhee says she wants to make a film starring Gilsoo and her husband. How will a film look created by a novelist who is skeptical of writing look? At the end of the journey, ‘the novelist’s film’ shines surprisingly with only the harmony of small moments. (NAM Daeun)
