Program Note
A re-discovery of the hidden talent in Thai independents. Low society people living along the railway in four parts of Thailand are fighting for their lives amid lots of problems. In the North, while Tu Pu, an old monk, tries his best to teach younger monks, but face the difficulties. Meanwhile the townspeople are gething loose their faith in religion. In the Central, Thu, a young Myanmar labor has to resign from his job in a farm to ransom his wife or she will be sent back to Myanmar. In the Northeast, Kham Kong, an orphan, tries his best to gain acceptance from his aunt and her husband to be a member of this poor family. In the South, Suan and Klaew, previously a lovely neighbor, turn to the sworn enemies. Their shabby life stories are linked with a train on the railroad and with them, we witness the various kinds of people. (PARK Sungho)
