Money Talks is a non-stop, action-adventure film by comedy. Franklin Hatchett is a petty con artist catapulted from obscurity to celebrity overnight when he is wrongly accused of planning a deadly prison break. Now everyone wants him - dead or alive - and the only person who can save him is a headline grabbing television newsman in search of the ultimate sweeps week exclusive. When Franklin is arrested, he finds himself on a chain gain handcuffed to Villard, a vicious international diamond smuggler,On the way to County Jail, gunmen commandeer the bus, and Franklin becomes a reluctant hostage. After his killing spree, Villard is about to dispose of his only remaining eyewitness, when Franklin menages to escape. With no one to trust,Franklin turns to James. the television newsman. Despite imminent wedding plans,James can′t resist the possibility of promotion. But there′s a price to be paid for fame, and James finds himself ducking bullets. Money Talks careens into a series of hair-trigger escapes involving fast cars, far diamonds, a deadly game of hide and seek,and a variety of Los Angeles icons. (From production notes.)

Brett Ratner
Born in 1971, Brett Ratner attended NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of The Arts, where, at 16, he was the department’s youngest film major. Funded by a donation from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. Ratner’s senior thesis project Whatever Happened to Mason Reese won various student awards. His first music video is Louder Than a Bomb, and is followed by more than 50 music videos.
