Program Note
When the Taliban forbid the flying of kites in Afghanistan, the young boys in Davood′s village are terribly disappointed. With the help of a Talib′s son they a clever way around this decree.
Director
Razi MOHEBI
Born in Afghanistan in 1971, he later immigrated to Pakistan and then Iran, where he studied film and art. He studied film art and he held some exhibitions of his painting in IRAN and studied cinema in Tehran University. He has worked as an actor, a producer, and an assistant to directors including Samira Makhmalbaf and Siddiq Barmak. A Kite is his first film as a director
