Emily and her mother are repatriated into Poland’s Western Territories from the eastern territories now taken over by the Soviet Union. They meet an American serviceman Norman, and Emily and Norman fall in love each other. Krzysztof ZANUSSI
Born in Warsaw, Krzysztof Zanussi studied at Warsaw University and Lodz Film School. His directing career began in 1966 and he has directed for cinema, television, and theater. His filmography includes The Structure of Crystal (1969), Illumination (1973), Camouflage (1976), The Contract (1980), Paradigma (1985), The Silent Touch (1992). In Full Gallop (1996), Supplement (2002), and Persona Non Grata (2005).
