Hiding out in New Mexico after a freak accident, Elena runs into Jessica, an old friend from high school. When Jessica’s stalker suddenly shows up at their door, they must seek help from beyond the grave to get rid of him for good. Jethica is no ordinary horror film. It has a perfect set-up to be a supernatural horror but as story unfolds, it shifts into be a black comedy with deadpan humor that works quite well. The chemistry between the two main characters is outstanding and the film’s visual style is striking. It might be difficult to define its genre, but one thing for sure: Jethica is a very well- made independent genre film with a clever and unique story. Jethica is a horror film that can embrace the audiences who aren’t big fans of horror films if that makes sense.
