The life of aging Chinese immigrant Evelyn Wang is crashing down around her: The laundromat she runs is under heavy scrutiny from the IRS and, her husband Waymond is secretly filing for divorce. And all the while she is trying desperately to prevent from her conservative father from finding out her daughter is a lesbian. While she and her husband are being audited in the IRS office, she is forced to enter an insane adventure of multiverse in which many parallel worlds exist. Now, it is up to her to save the world from a malevolent entity named Jobu Tupaki which has taken the form of her daughter by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led. Everything Everywhere All at Once is science-fiction, comedy, drama, martial-arts, and action all rolled together. This chaotic, wild, and even psychedelic film is written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as "Daniels").
