After a long lockdown brought on by the pandemic, the city is astir with ambulances and people mourning. People’s lives are in jeopardy due to hardship and anxiety. Jaan, who runs a restaurant and a bakery and also works in civil engineering, has difficulty getting workers and funding, and his employees are always causing trouble. Despite these problems, he is a good boss, a responsible son, a caring father, a great friend, and a faithful companion to his dog. But leaving behind all those identities, the film summons him to the place of “Tora’s husband.” A work that makes us look at what the pandemic has taken from us and what it has brought us in a familiar yet unfamiliar way, this film was directed by Rima Das, who drew attention with Bulbul Can Sing (2018) and Village Rockstars (2017).
