KIM Hong-Joon

Kim Hong-Joon was born in Seoul, Korea in 1956.He graduated from Seoul National University in Anthropology and completed Ph.D course in Cultural Anthropology from Temple University.He is the last of a generation who completed their apprenticeships at Chungmuro.His work as an assistant director for Seopyeonje (1993) was overseen by director Im Kwon-taek.He made his solo debut with film, Rosy Life (1994), and won the Best New Director Award at Blue Dragon Film Awards,Baeksang Arts Awards, and Chunsa Film Art Awards. He was a programmer who established the initial identity of the Bucheon InternationalFantastic Film Festival. He then returned to lead the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival asa festival director in 2001. He has helped keep Chungmuro in the spotlight since 2015 by working as an artistic director ofChungmuro International Musical Film Festival who connects the world of musical and film.He has been a film professor at Korea National University of Arts School of Film, TV & Multimedia since 1998.

KUNIMURA Jun

Kunimura Jun was born in Kumamoto, Japan in 1955. He made his acting debut with thefilm, Gaki Teikoku (1981). He has performed in numerous Japanese TV shows and films. Hehas worked with prominent Japanese directors such as Kore-eda Hirokazu, KurosawaKiyoshi, and Kitano Takeshi. He also made his Hollywood acting debut in the thriller, Black Rain (1989) directed by Ridley Scott. He attracted the attention of audiences by performingcharismatic performance as Boss Tanaka, a member of the Crime Council, in Kill Bill:Volume 1 (2003) directed by Quentin Tarantino. He delivered an outstanding performanceas The Stranger in The Wailing (2016) directed by Na Hong-jin. Kunimura was invited to thered carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2016 for his work in The Wailing (2016). He was thewinner of the Best Supporting Actor and the Popular Star Award at the Blue Dragon FilmAwards 2016. As of recent, he has performed in numerous domestic and international filmssuch as Godzilla Resurgence (2016) and Manhunt (2018).

Labina MITEVSKA

She is a Macedonian actress. She began her acting career in Europe with filmmaker Milcho Manchevski’s Before the Rain (1994).Labina Mitevska, her sister Teona S. Mitevska, and her brother Vuk Mitevska established and managed a production company called Sisters and Brother Mitevski Production.They are based in Europe and have collaborated with Cristi Puiu, Damjan Kozole, and Bilge Nuri Ceylan. When the Day Had no Name (2017),directed by Teona S. Mitevska, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in the Panorama section;in addition, it has also been featured at many other film festivals. They recently coproduced Bilge Nuri Ceylan’s The Wild Pear Tree (2018) and are currently working on a short drawing animation film EDNA. In 2014, Labina Mitevska was chosen to be part of Producers on the Move at the Cannes Film Festival. Labina is now busy doing both acting and producing.

Nashen MOODLEY

Nashen Moodley, a graduate of the University of Natal, South Africa, has written forprominent newspapers and magazines including The Guardian, the Mail & Guardian, GQand The Sunday Tribune. From 2001 to 2011 he was the head programmer of the DurbanInternational Film Festival. From 2005 to 2017 he served as a programming consultant forthe Dubai International Film Festival. He also has served as the Festival Director of SydneyFilm Festival since 2012. As a result, Sydney Film Festival 2017 marked the ninth successiveyear of growth in attendance. In addition, he has been the director of the Muhr AsiaAfricacompetition at the Dubai International Film Festival since 2008. From 2013 to 2017 he wasthe director of Cinema of the World at the Dubai International Film Festival. He has been ajury member at prestigious film festivals such as Tokyo, Toronto, Rotterdam and DurbanInternational Film Festival. .

SHI Nansun

Shi Nansun was pivotal in the success of Cinema City Studios and Film Workshop Co., Ltd.,which she founded with internationally-acclaimed producer and director Tsui Hark. Shi wasa member of the International Jury at the Berlin International Film Festival 2007 and at theCannes Film Festival 2011. In October 2013, the French Government honored Shi with thetitle of Officer de l‟Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Shi received the Best Independent ProducerAward - Premio Raimondo Rezzonico at the Locarno International Film Festival 2014, theGolden Mulberry Life Achievement Award at the Udine Far East Film Festival 2015, theSpecial Achievement Award at the BIFF with Marie Claire Asia Star Awards 2015, and theBerlinale Camera at the Berlin International Film Festival 2017. Shi is a member of the HongKong Tourism Board and vice chairman of the End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation.

Justin CHANG

Justin Chang, a film critic in the United States, graduated from the University of SouthernCalifornia‟s Annenberg School of Journalism. He was the chief film critic and editor of filmreviews at Variety. He served as a chair for the National Society of Film Critics and secretaryof the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. He received the inaugural Roger Ebert Award atthe African-American Film Critics Association in 2014. He is currently a film critic for theLos Angeles Times as well as the National Public Radio program (NPR) - Fresh Air. He isalso a regular contributor to the Southern California public radio program, Film Week onAirTalk, which introduces newly released films.

HAYASHI Kanako

Hayashi Kanako was the general coordinator of the Kawakita Memorial Film Institute from1986 to 1998 and has introduced many classic Japanese films as well as new directors to theworld. From 1998 to 2001, she freelanced as the Asian Consultant for the VeniceInternational Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival. She had been a festivaldirector at the TOKYO FILMeX which has promoted Asian films to the world film market for17 years since 2001. She has also been involved in establishing a network for Asian filmcineasts and supporting Asian films. She served in the jury for prominent international filmfestivals such as Hawaii, Montreal, Istanbul, Taipei, Karlovy Vary, Hong Kong, Locarno,Venice and the Berlin International Film Festival. She is always interested in introducingnew Korean films to the Japanese film market. She was a recipient of the Korean CinemaAward at the Busan International Film Festival 2012.

Eric KHOO

Eric Khoo is the first Singaporean to be invited to major international film festivals such asVenice International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival,and Busan International Film Festival. He debuted with the film, Mee Pok Man (1995) andhe received positive reviews with the films, 12 Storeys (1997) and Be With Me (2005). Hisother film, My magic (2008), was nominated for the Cannes Palme d‟Or. His first animatedfilm, Tatsumi (2011), was invited to the Cannes Film Festival as well. He revives theSingapore film industry by producing several films. He served as the head of the jury at theLocarno International Film Festival 2010. He was also president of the jury at the Asian FilmAwards 2012, the Rotterdam International Film Festival, and the Bucheon InternationalFantastic Film Festival 2013. He was invited to the Cannes Film Festival 2017 as a jurymember for the Cinéfondation and Short Films.

Emilie BUJÈ S

Emilie Bujès has been the artistic director of Visions du Réel, International Film FestivalNyon, since 2017. She is a program advisor for the Cannes‟ Directors‟ Fortnight and anexpert for the Swiss fund visions sud est. She has previously been the deputy artistic directorof La Roche-sur-Yon International Film Festival (2014 – 2016) and a member of the'Image/mouvement' commission of the French National Centre for Visual Arts (CNAP). Shewas a curator at the Geneva Contemporary Art Center (2010–2014) and has contributed tothe film festival programs and art institutions such as the Forum and Forum Expanded - Berlinale, Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) Vilnius, Lausanne Underground Film and MusicFestival, Transmediale in Berlin, and Forde in Geneva. Currently, she teaches at the GenevaSchool of Art and Design and Bern University of the Arts.

LEE Hyuk-sang

Lee Hyuk-sang has worked with a media activist group, Pinks, since 2003. He has attractedthe attention of audiences through documentaries that deal with social issues such as Mamasang: Remember Me This Way (2005), 3xFTM (2008) and Nora Noh (2013). His firstdebut feature film, Miracle on Jongno Street (2010), was awarded the BIFF Mecenat Awardat the Busan International Film Festival 2010 and the Independent Film of the Year Awardfrom the Association of Korean Independent Film & Video. He was the creative director forthe documentary, Two Doors (2011). He also co-directed the subsequent documentary, The Remnants (2016), which was awarded the Best Korean Documentary Award and AudienceAward at the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival 2016 along with the ExcellentWork Prize and Self-righteous Man Award at the Seoul Independent Film Festival 2016. Asof recent, he has been filming his first action film project, His Son, Our Sun.

ZHAO Liang

Zhao was born in Liaoning, China in 1971, and graduated from the Luxun Academy of FineArts in 1992. He has been based in Beijing since 1993, and has worked as an independentdocumentary filmmaker as well as an artist mainly doing in photography and video art. Hisworks Paper Airplane (2001), Crime and Punishment (2007), Petition (2009), Together(2011), and Behemoth (2015) have premiered at film festivals such as the Cannes FilmFestival, Venice International Film Festival, and Berlin International Film Festival. His films,and his art works are being exhibited at art galleries and museums such as the InternationalCenter of Photography in New York, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Haus der Kulturender Welt in Berlin, Sala Grande Venezia in Venice, and Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid.

PARK Chan Ok

Park Chan Ok graduated Theatre and Film Studies at Hanyang University and the School ofFilm, TV and Multimedia at Korea National University of Arts. She was initially noticed forher short works such as Cat Woman & Man (1995), and To Be (1996), which won the BestFilm Award at the Seoul International Women‟s Film Festival 1996. Her work Heavy (1998)also won the Sonje Award at the Busan International Film Festival 1998. Her first featurefilm debut Jealousy Is My Middle Name (2002) won the Tiger Award at the InternationalFilm Festival Rotterdam 2003, Best Screenplay at the Blue Dragon Film Awards 2003, andthe New Currents Award at the Busan International Film Festival 2002. Park‟s work Paju(2009) won the NETPAC Award at the Busan International Film Festival and the SpecialJury Prize at the Deauville Asian Film Festival, and established her as an acclaimed femalefilmmaker.

Kamila ANDINI

Kamila Andini is a film director from Jakarta, Indonesia. She finished her studies inSociology and Media Arts at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Her particularinterests in social culture, gender equality and environmental issues are well-reflected infilmmaking. Her first feature film, The Mirror Never Lies (2011), was premiered in the NewCurrents competition, Busan International Film Festival, and won more than 15 awardsnationally and internationally. The Seen and Unseen (2017), her second feature film, washonored as the Grand Prix of the Generation Kplus International Jury for the Best Film atthe Berlin International Festival 2018. Kamila Andini is constantly being invited to majorfilm festivals where she is recognized by her achievements in filmmaking and film script.Kamila is also making great efforts to engage art and environmental films in Indonesia byorganizing the Indonesia International Environmental Film Festival in remote areas withlimited access to cinema.

Miroljub VUČKOVIĆ

Miroljub Vučković, born in Serbia, 1952, is a film critic. From 1995 to 2005, he was a generalmanager of the Institut za film, the Yugoslav Film Institute. He had introduced numerousYugoslav films at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Cinémathèque Royale inBrussels, and the Giornate del cinema muto in Pordenone. He has been the program advisorat prominent international film festivals such as Busan, Rotterdam, and Toronto. In additionto being a film critic, he has also been a jury member at prestigious international filmfestivals. From 2001 to 2005 he was chairman of the South-East European Cinema Network.As of recent, he has been the head of International Relations and Promotion for the FilmCenter Serbia since 2013.

KO Hyun Joung

Ko Hyun Joung made her acting debut with South Korean television series Love on a Jujube Tree in 1990. She became one of the most acclaimed actresses in the 1990s with many critically acclaimed TV shows including Eyes of Dawn (1991), Women’s Room (1992), and A Love Without Fear (1992), My Mother’s Sea (1993), Farewell (1994). She staged a comeback in the television series Spring Day in 2005 after a 10 year hiatus from the TV show Sand glass that ended in 1995. After playing an impressive character named Mi-shil in the historical television series The Great Queen Seondeok (2009), she appealed to many of Korean viewers and had strong ratings of over 40 percent. She expanded her acting range with her thirst for special performances and starred in Hong Sangsoo’s Woman on the Beach (2006). She now fulfills various roles in many of both in films and TV shows such as Like You Know It All (2009), The Day He Arrives (2011), Dear My Friends (2016), and A Tiger in Winter (2017).

YU Jun-sang

Yu Jun-sang graduated from Daewon Foreign Language High School, Dongguk University intheater and film, and earned his Master‟s Degree in Film and Musical from the Graduateschool of Myongji University. He was inspired by Lee Man-hui, Yu Jun-sang‟s high schoolteacher and a screenwriter, to become an actor. He was employed as the 5th of SeoulBroadcasting System Talent Recruitment in 1995. He has performed a number of roles inmusicals including Grease (1998), Jack the Ripper (2009), The Three Musketeers (2009), Rebecca (2013), Frankenstein (2015), Ben-Hur (2017), and Barnum: The GreatestShowman (2018). He has received numerous awards such as the Best Male Actor Award atthe Korea Musical Awards 2002 and the Star of the Year Award at the Daegu InternationalMusical Festival Awards 2018. He has also performed on TV shows including The Land(2004), Marry Me! (2004), Inspector Park Moon Soo (2002), Fox and Cotton Candy (2001), Life Is Beautiful (2010), and Full of Sun (2000). He became one of the most beloved actorsfor his role in a TV show, My Husband Got a Family (2012). He has also performed in filmswith starring in In Another Country (2012) and A Matter of Interpretation (2014). Hisperformances have established him as one of the most acclaimed actors in Korea, and as therecipient of numerous drama and film awards.
