In 1965, when Vietnam was facing the potential of massive US bombing, the Vietnamese went underground. The Hanoi National Conservatory of Music relocated into the tunnels of the countryside and carried on teaching and playing. The remarkable story of five years underground is told with archival footage and new interviews, and simultaneously paints a portrait of Vietnam past and present.
