This short film is based on a traditional lullaby and is about childhood visions-be they good, bad or ugly. In Wayfarers, dreams don′t come true, and once childhood is gone it′s gone forever. Igor Strembitskyy, who grew up in a village near Paryshche, had his debut screening-after three years of work and a paltry three thousand dollars-with this short, and went on to win independent Ukraine′s first ever film award when he received the Palme d′Or for short film at Cannes in 2005.
