Program Note
Jacque arrives in London to learn cooking under the great British chef Victor, whom Jacque thinks is his father. Moving into an apartment complex, Jacque meets Stella with big and beautiful eyes, and Patty, who is involved with internet dating. These three form a trio of lonesome misfits. Deeply enchanted by Stella. Jacque makes her go out, but realizes that she hates to dine out, and furthermore that she considers it shameful to buy and take cooked food home. Jacque cooks breakfast for Stella, but fails to persuade her to eat it. Stella promises Jacque she will eat it, if he leaves. Realizing that he cannot win over Stella’s disorderly eating habit, Jacque faces his problem and leaves Stella. As Jacque is heading for St. Pancras, Stella gets an eager desire to communicate with the world and with Jacque again. Delicious is a very charming debut work by Tammy Riley-Smith. (Jay JEON)
