Gahite Fofana`s thoughtful and poetic film based on the tragic 1999 true story of two African teenagers discovered in the landing gear of a jet. This film follows two Guinean teenagers Yaguine and Fode who, unable to find employment at home, decide to stowaway on a plane to Europe. Using true events as the basis, Fofana adroitly captures the boredom, frustration and optimism of young boys who are determined to make something of their lives, and feel they can only do so if they escape Conakry, Guinea. Before they embark on the dangerous journey, two boys write a powerful letter to the leaders of Europe, explaining just why they are leaving their home and imploring them to take note of the plight of people just like them all across Africa
