Program Note
KANG In-goo is the man of the family living busy routines as any other Korean men. His job isn’t so usual that he is a middle boss of a gangster organization. His life is constant conflict at home and at work. He comes to collision with the secondary power figure in the organization, Mr. Noh, for conflicting interests within the gang. At home, he has to avoid trouble with his daughter in her puberty. He peeks in her diary and finds out that she despises him. His only wish is a nice home with a garden for his family but the reality doesn’t permit him his simple wish. Aside from his job, his life isn’t different from ordinary men of the society. However, because of his job, his trouble grows and he desperately struggles for survival. Process of his survival is comical and at the same time a basic instinct that draws sympathy from audience.
