Program Note
Sisters Ani and Ana escape from their violent father after their beloved mother dies. They love each other in their Islamic belief. One day, Ana gets beaten by a teacher on account of a trifling matter. A Catholic teacher named Brian takes her home. Acquainted with the two sisters, Brian finds himself drowning their pure souls. Their forgiving religion and philosophy make Brian look back on his own childhood trauma. Hatred, forgiveness and love in Muslim and Catholic people shine through in a brief but polished style. Don′t miss the charm of Sharifah Amani Syed’s Ani. Her natural performance attracts not only Brian but the audience. (LEE Seung Min)
