Program Note
Not due to a territorial dispute or ideological differences, people of the same nation aim guns at each other due to religious differences. The conflict between Muslims and Hindus is more fatal than wars between nations as they cannot receive protection from the government. The slaughter and revenge that happen in shifts, spread horror and anxiety to the city, and the issue of survival justifies the heartless violence that one inflicts upon the other. Through various people, the filmmaker shows how horror and anxiety destroy human relationships and affect our lives. If religion, which calls for love and human salvation, turns reality into hell, where can one find hope? (Mina OAK)
