The film shows the diverse groups of musicians in Hongdae street. With the appearance of idol musicians and rising stars, this film depicts the hopes and failures of youngsters who are starving and dreaming only for music. Young stars such as Shin Sekyung, CNBLUE and 2AM interestingly repackage the young star image in the film. Shin repeats ‘wicked broccoli’ under her breath, CNBLUE displays a charming episode with the title ‘Bakery Raid’ taken from the short story by Murakami Haruki, and a fun story about future society using the conventions of a science fiction movie. What’s important to notice is that the fun of the film has slices of Korean culture in it. They are the signs of this age engraved in instant noodle cups at convenience stores, bakeries in Hongdae and on iPhones left for the future.
