Ximending was once the trendiest place in Taipei. It was also the shooting location for Lee Kang-sheng’s first leading feature film, Rebels of the Neon God. Twenty years later, Lee returns to where everything started and makes a film about it.

LEE Kang Sheng
LEE Kang-Sheng is a critically-acclaimed and internationally renowned actor whose long-term working relationship with director TSAI Ming-Liang inspired him to make his directorial debut with the feature film The Missing (2003), which won the New Currents Award at the Pusan International Film Festival and the Tiger Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. His filmography includes Help Me Eros (2007) and Taipei 24H (2009).
