Chong is a cross cultural performing artist, radio programmer, film critic and director. In 2007 his passion for Malaysia’s linguistic heritage exploded and he initiated a project for preserving the seven main tongues of Classic Chinese Dialect, along with Chinese opera and folk music, forms slowing being eroded. At home he has been recognized for his efforts in cultural achievement.
