Iranian actor Behrouz Vossoughi is, beyond a doubt, a legend. A star whose appeal crossed age, class and social boundaries, Vossoughi’s performances in nearly 100 films have been the gold standard for Iranian actors featuring just a handful of his iconic roles. But when the upheaval of 1979’s Islamic Revolution swept the country, Vossoughi and many of his peers were declared enemies of the state and forced into exile.
