Program Note
A tourist—a white man—arriving in a remote Himalayan village piques the interest of the children who live there. Young Jaalgedi is so taken with the stranger that she loses focus on her shepherd work, unwittingly allowing disaster to befall her family.

Rajesh Prasad KHATRI
Rajesh Prasad Khatri is a graduate of Literature, and currently a primary school teacher in the remote western mountains of Nepal. He has been active as a theatre actor and director for the last ten years. He has also worked as a production manager in a number of films, including The Black Hen (2015). A Curious Girl is his debut short film.
