A young gold miner is drifting on a big river somewhere in Myanmar in an old boat. Having left home some time ago, he keeps sending letters to his lover Lily, but to no avail. He does not even realize that his boat is sinking as he dreams of finding a goldmine. Will he be able to achieve his dream and return to Lily?
