Program Note
Gayoung visits Seongbum, an art instructor, to consult on her love affair. She said she fell in love with a married man. Seongbum then criticizes her, saying “Are you consulting about a married man to another married man?" We soon find out that Seongbum and Gayoung were once lovers of each other. At the same time, Seongbum does not refuse to become a love counselor for Gayoung. Of course, they don′t just consult, but sometimes they feel a new feeling of close love. Conversations continue nonstop between the present and the past, and their conversations are usually temptingly witty. The main emotions and acts of Jung Gayoung′s films still remain the same, including courtship, lingering feelings, obsession, reflection and determination. Heart also has the merits of Jung′s last two feature films, Bitch on the Beach, and Hit the Night, but <I>Heart seems to be a more astute formal diligence.
