Hollywood′s Back to the Future and Buddhist reincarnation theory meet each other in this film about overcoming the irreversibility of time. A common theme in film, it is interesting to see how this eternal desire of human beings is portrayed in different parts of the world. Yeab and Waan are engaged to be married. When Wann collapses into a state of unconsciousness, Yeab consults with a mysterious Buddhist priest who tells him that he needs to save the lives of five people in order to rescue his fiancee. Yeab learns there are five people who are soon to die through the media, and he rescues them one by one. Those people are all embedded in the social problems of present day Thailand: A police official plunged into embezzlement and gambling, young men who toy with suicide over stress from entrance exams and the disappointments of love, a policeman in danger of getting killed by a robber, and children who risk death by speeding cars. Director Oxide Pang tells us that performing small good deeds is sometimes better than saving human′s lives may to get out of the burden fo the karmic cycle of rebirth. (Kim Ji-Seok)
