Born in rural Goranboy western region of Azerbaijan. While working for a television channel he put money aside to shoot his first short film and later co-directed Chameleon (2013) which premiered at Locarno Film Festival in 2013 (“Cineasti del presente”). His second feature film Reporting from Darkness had its World Premiere in FID Marseille 2018.
