Program Note
Three half-sisters meet each other for the first time at their father’s funeral. After the funeral, one by one, they begin to share memories of their father. The three women find the father in each other’s memories strange and unfamiliar. But as they share their contempt and resentment against their father, as well as their love and passion, the three sisters eventually come to understand their father’s love and the choices he made. When they realize what their father’s hot pot restaurant meant to him, the three women decide to start it back up again. Can three half-sisters who are still unfamiliar with each other take care of their father’s restaurant? The emotional journey of the three sisters, learning about their father’s love in his absence and accepting each other, brings tears to your eyes. Andy LAU makes a cameo appearance as the ex-husband of Sammi CHENG, who plays the eldest of the three sisters, giving the viewers a chance to see him on screen in Korea as well. (CHAE Bohyun)
