Chen Xinyan is a director and screenwriter hails from Shiyan, Hubei, China. During his university years, he created short films that were invited to more than twenty film festivals in China. He gained recognition as a co-director alongside Zhang Jingchen for The Island Passing by a Roller Coaster (2002), which was nominated for the Beijing International Film Festival′s Real Image Program.

Zhang Jingchen, graduated from the Communication University of China with MFA in film creation, is currently working as a filmmaker and literary editor. She co-directed The Island Passing by a Roller Coaster (2022) with Director Chen Xinyan and the film was nominated for the Beijing International Film Festival′s Real Image Program. She adapted the Chinese hit drama The Knockout into a novel, which has sold more than 300,000 copies.
