Chen Hao-wei was born in Taichung, Taiwan, and graduated from the Department of Communication Arts at Chaoyang University of Technology. His first short film as writer/ co-director/ editor, Irritable Boy (2021), was invited to the Taipei Film Festival, where Chan won Best New Director, and the Seoul International Children′s Film Festival, where he won the award for Best Directing. Reclaim My Summer is his second short film.
