Color of Asia - Newcomers 1.Lonely Hearts A young financier who is on the edge of going bankrupt is unexpected to be obsessed with paintings of an independent painter living in seclusion. The financier drives to the cabin where the painter lives. After the talk by the light of a candle, they establish an intimate relationship. 2.Blues with Me Seung Shik, a construction worker loses his daily job just because he is not on the list. To make things worse, he is not going to get paid for the work he did a week before. To get to the bottom of this absurd situation, he visits his foreman to his office. 3.CHANDRA Seven-year-old Chandra and his grandfather have to travel through earthquake-hit Kathmandu in order to get to hospital, where Chandra’s mother has just given birth. Grandfather, who knows the sheer scope of destruction, attempts to protect Chandra from the grim reality of it all. 4. Ferris Wheel A young woman with her 5 years old son cross the river between Thailand and Myanmar to find job in the city. On their journey, they meet a mysterious stranger who wears a monkey mascot taking her son to an unexpected destination where a colorful Ferris wheel is located.

Phuttiphong Aroonpheng was born in Bangkok Thailand in 1976. He is particularly interested in avant-garde and experimental film. His film projects have been showed both prominent international film festivals and art exhibitions. He was selected to participate in 2009 Asian Film Academy.

His short Lucked Out (2005) won Grand prize at Daegu Independent Short Film Festival and Audience′s Favorite Film Award at Jeongdongjin Independent Film & Video Festival. In 2014, Working Day (2014) was screened in the Wide Angle Korean short film competition section of BIFF.
