Chun-hee leaves the home she shared with her late husband, Hyun-chul, and moves into a modest apartment, bringing with her his cherished grand piano and car. When it proves impossible to fit the piano into her new place, she accepts her neighbor Min-jun’s offer to keep it in his apartment. It turns out that Min-jun is a conductor, and that he has come to Korea on an impulsive journey in search of his mother. Soon, the two are joined by Seong-chan, a promising young pianist whom Min-jun admires. Thus begins an innocent, good-hearted friendship between three people of entirely different ages, experiences, and life paths. The time they share together transforms traces of the past, left behind by those who are gone; they evolve into something with meaning for the future, becoming an act of restoration, renewal, and rebirth.
