BIFF Everywhere is a community-friendly film festival enjoyed in everyday life. This year’s keyword is ‘Connect’. Since its inception in 2021, BIFF Everywhere has boldly expanded the festival to reach every corner of the region, to the extent that one might wonder, “Are they really screening here?”. BIFF Everywhere connects regions, cultures, generation and the future. Some of the venues include Hwangnyeongsan Mt. Beacon Fire Station Outdoor Park, one of Busan’s top night view spots; Millak Waterfront Park in Suyeong-gu; and Bongsan Village in Yeongdo, which all evoke the excitement of discovering a travel destination while showcasing Busan's hidden charms. Moreover, Dadaepo Beach, where the Sunset Fountain of Dreams is located and the Ttangmoesan Mt. Red Clay Trail of Hoedong Reservoir have become popular spots for barefoot walking, riding the trend of “Earthing”, which emphasizes the connection between the earth.
The “Village Filmmaking Project”, where participants learn from local directors, actors, and other filmmakers to create films then premiere them at Community BIFF, will continue for the fourth year. This year, a total of seven production teams are selected, including two teams with people with disabilities and one team with a multicultural family, resulting in the production of seven short films and four making documentaries. In this way, BIFF Everywhere, a citizens' film festival, completes a map of Busan as it tells the stories of residents and visitors alike. It is transforming the entire city into a street of films and evolving into a lifestyle-integrated film festival that proposes the value, identity, and lifestyle of the city based on its uniqueness and individuality.
※ BIFF Everywhere will only be provided in Korean.
