Born in Battambang, Cambodia, Danech San has worked in production on a variety of projects including as Casting Assistant and Assistant Production Manager on DIAMOND ISLAND (2015) directed by Davy Chou, which was screened in the International Critics′ Week section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and won the SACD Award. Her first short film, A MILLION YEARS (2018), was premiered at the Busan International Film Festival and won Best Southeast Asian Short at Singapore IFF 2018. It was also broadcast on Arte in early 2020.
