Victor, an introverted, over-weight pizza chef at "Pete and Dolly′s" tavern, maintains his daily vigil: cooking his bossy mother Dolly breakfast then doing whatever else she wants. It′s a settled little world until beautiful but directionless Callie arrives. Victor falls for her immediately, even though she has a boyfriend. Reticent Victor can barely talk to her, but their casual contact furthers his obsession. Hard-boiled waitress Delores and Leo the barfly complete the circumscribed world of the tavern. As circumstances change and conflicts erupt, Victor is forced to examine his life and his world.
