Program Note
The boy is 15 years old. Except the birthmark around one of the eyes, he looks no different than any ordinary student at junior high. We see him pilfering at classrooms and shoplifting at convenience stores. He keeps an eye on a girl for several days. One day he breaks into her apartment with nonchalance.

His first short film, [The Weekend](1966) was screened at the 1st PIFF. After then he made several short films and began working for a TV station. His first short film in 8 years, [The Little Thief](2006) received much acclaim in domestic and international film festivals. He also took part in an omnibus feature film, [One Night Stand](2009).
